Musical activities during the lockdown

  1. -Arranging two movements of Handel’s Messiah  for brass band in preparation for the Sheffield Philharmonic’s postponed performance.  These are two movements not included in Denis Wright’s original arrangement.   One of them, How Beautiful are the feet,  has been recorded by the Black Dyke band remotely with soprano soloist Catrin Pryce Jones - you can listen to it here

  1. -Arranging two hymns for the BBC Philharmonic to record from home to be performed at the Ascension Day service on Radio 4

  1. -A new Christmas arrangement of Resonet in Laudibus  for choir and brass band commissioned by SPC

  2. -A new Christmas arrangement of Deck the Hall for the Halle choir and orchestra

  1. -A short video for the Royal College of Organists as part of their ‘A-Z of the organ’ educational series, about improvising for silent films. Available to watch here
